Kid Dakota:

Kid Dakota is the musical moniker of Darren Jackson. He started performing as “Kid Dakota and the Tumbleweeds” in 1998 while living in Providence, RI. The name was chosen in homage to his home state of South Dakota and also as a parody of Kid Rock. Since then Kid Dakota has released four full length albums as well as a Leonard Cohen Tribute. He is currently working on two new albums as well as the soundtrack for an independent film. He currently resides in Blacksburg, VA.
