Mike Peters(of The Alarm):

Following 2015’s hugely successful ‘Strength 30thAnniversary World Tour’ (which racked up over 18 sell out UK shows and 6 sold out nights in New York), Mike Peters presents ‘The Alarm ‘Spirit Of ’86 in 2016’ - powered by his unique one man band concept that has been rocking venues all over the globe.

The ‘Spirit Of ’86 in 2016’ tour will present the very best songs contained within both ‘Declaration’ and ‘Strength’ in a contemporary style that honors the legacy the band left on the decade it helped define.

Mike Peters presents ‘The Alarm – Spirit Of ’86’ Concert tour will feature the electro-acoustic guitars that fuelled the sound of both ‘Declaration’ and ‘Strength’, a music that would see The Alarm break North America on a grand scale and peak with a live appearance at the famous Janss Steps on the UCLA college campus in California, before an audience of 26,000 fans at the original ‘Spirit Of ‘86’ concert that was watched by millions around the world via MTV’s first ever live satellite broadcast.

To highlight the release of a brand new 30thAnniversary retrospective DVD / CD / Vinyl release of the original concert footage and soundtrack (both re-mastered and restored by Mike Peters), The ‘Spirit Of ’86 in 2016 Tour’, will feature a full recreation of the set list played 30 years ago on April 12th 1986 including all of The Alarm’s greatest hits of the time such as ‘The Stand, ‘Absolute Reality, ‘Sixty Eight Guns’, ‘Strength’, ‘Spirit Of ‘76’ and many more.

Mike Peters is co-founder of Love Hope Strength Foundation and a three times cancer survivor, fast emerging as one of the most visible advocates for those living with and beating cancer around the world. By turning rock concerts into lifesaving events Love Hope Strength’s ‘Get On the List’ program has worked alongside more than 10,000 international recording artists (inc. Robert Plant, Frank Turner and Drop Kick Murphys), who now support the charity by allowing bone marrow drives at their concerts, resulting in over 150,000 new registrations and finding over 2,500 potentially life saving bone marrow donors.

30 years on from the original ‘Spirit Of ‘86’ concert Mike Peters still has so much to live for. After twenty years living with cancer his songs of love hope and strength have taken on greater meaning and the optimism in his words and songs ring ever true. “If a man can’t change the world these days, I still believe a man can change his own destiny”.

Jim Stapley:

My name is Jim Stapley. I’m a British singer songwriter, currently living in Minneapolis, USA. I write the best songs I can, as often as I can. I record them when I can and hope to perform them constantly. I am a work in progress. I am full of belief and doubt. I hope I’m honest enough with myself and with my music. I have dedicated myself to a life pursuing this art, being the best I can be, regardless of what stage I’m on, if any. I will always write, play, and perform.

If you’re reading this, I hope you take a listen. Share it with your friends. I hope my music becomes something to you. It is everything to me.
