Strange Relations:

Minneapolis diary rock band Strange Relations, featuring Casey Sowa (drums/vocals) and her girlfriend Maro Helgeson (bass/synth), don't fit the typical mold of a pop group. Building tracks around a propulsive rhythm section, Strange Relations feed off their long term relationship to capture an energy and intimacy that cannot be forced or faked, weaving through each track like a burst of fresh air through the haze. Vulnerable yet strong, glossy to grainy, bold or subdued, Strange Relations demonstrate what can blossom when you refuse to follow the rules.

Sasha B. Ware:

Sasha B. Ware is the DJ handle of multi-disciplinary artist/promoter/organizer/hustler Sasha T. Todryk.  With an amount of enthusiasm and energy that borders on the absurd, Sashahas been intimately involved in the independent music and art world since the tender age of 16 - wether as label head (MJ MJ Records), electronic musician (Sasha Conda), promoter/organizer of massive collaborative music & art festivals (FMLY Fest), booking agent, manager, blogger, PR agent, etc, etc, etc.  After spending most of her twenties on tour and having been involved in organizing literally thousands of independent events around the world she settled down in Minneapolis to find her footing.  Currently Sasha focuses her creative energy as the curator/organizer of IN THE MIX (a bi-monthly queer dance party // performance & art extravaganza), resident DJ & promoter of CASSETTE*** (a monthly tape DJ dance night @ KCK), and generally hustling her little tuchus off throwing parties and DJ'ing. nformed by her years as a performer and curator in the underground music world Sasha is an eclectic selector with an infectious stage presence.  Expect her to keep the energy high and dance floor shifting through classic and contemporary house, disco, techno and way out of left field deep cuts.
