Poolboy:
Poolboy is a band born in chlorine in Minneapolis circa 2015. They learned to read via a weird uncle's Playboy subscription and lost their virginity in a room lit by neon. They are momma's boys, romantics, and Americans. Poolboy plays “agitated psych rock ’n' roll.”
The debut EP was recorded and mixed by Johnny Kermott, and produced by Johnny Kermott and Poolboy. It was recorded in various bedrooms, basements, and charmingly lit houses in the Midwest. The EP was mastered by HM Mastering (Poliça, Bad Bad Hats, The Tallest Man on Earth) of Minneapolis, MN.
Poolboy is:
Seth Conover - Vox, Guitars, Lyrics
Brett Bjornrud - Drums
Jeff Dreblow - Piano, Synth, Vox
Travis Thorp - Bass
Johnny Kermott - Cello, Guitars, Vox
ar.birn:
One winter night, an eight year old Zach Brose stared out his bedroom window and named the giant oak tree he had grown up with all his life, Arbirn. Now, years later, the name has manifested itself again in the form of a music group that brings about the emotions of nostalgia as well as an inevitable, optimistic growth. ar.birn is an indie rock trio comprised of members Zach Brose (guitar), Cooper Doten (bass), and Reese Kling (drums). Growing up with and connected by Minneapolis music such as Halloween Alaska, Happy Apple, Love-cars, and beyond, the trio aims to capture what was so compelling about these groups to them then and now. A balance between pensive songwriting and experimentation with splashes of pop/rock grooves encapsulates ar.birn's sound.
Margaret:
Maggie Morrison of Lookbook, Digitata, & Gayngs. Her pitch-perfect, brazenly unaffected singing instrument is perhaps (Lookbook’s) most well-selected keepsake from the glory days of the discotheque. She now performs under the moniker, Margaret, and stays consistent with her repertoire, never slumps, never slides, never half-asses a single note. As chillingly immaculate as a sine wave, Margaret and her voice have an inhuman perfection to them.
