C.KOSTRA:
c.Kostra is Ryan Olcott. A Minneapolis recording artist, performer, writer, producer, technician, musical conceptualist & scene mogul. His credits include 12rods (V2 records, Chigliak / perfect 10 in Pitchfork), Mystery Palace & Foodteam (Zod, TGNP, Magic Rub) as a circuit bending pioneer and now currently c.Kostra, as the re-invented visionary cassette producer and co-owner of Pytch Records. c.Kostra’s debut full length, ‘now i feel it’ is a collection of his first songs, most clocking in at barely 3 minutes of surreal distinctive lo-fi R&B crafted with an unexpected soulful vocoder and tons of hooks by Pytch Records, a new Minneapolis electronic label ran by Olcott and Nikki Pfeifer.
DEVATA DAUN:
Devata Daun is Nikki Pfeifer. The darkwave artist released her debut record, ‘Look’ and some would say her music is that of a subversive insight to an intellectual phenomenon currently believed to be more than just captured government transmissions, lost shortwave beacons or military Muzak. Together, Olcott and Pfeifer lead the way of this pitch-deviant movement with Pytch as their platform.
Andrew Broder:
Andrew Broder started off as a battling, scratching turntablist in the mid 90’s. While his main project, Fog took him further and further away from his hip-hop roots, Andrew re-immersed himself in something like rap in 2011, and all is right in the world again. BrodR is the moniker under which he creates and performs beats, instrumental and / or for rappers.
The Worm (Josh Bestgen of Always Human Tapes):
raw machine funk from 2 mpls sync freaks caustic wriggles to eat your dead to. Awesome 4 on the floor beats and crazy synths. Great album front to back! Always Human Tapes is a USA-based record label / electronic & experimental sounds - cassette / VHS / digital
operated by Ryan Wurst, TML, Heckadecimal
H.E.Z. (HOLLY HANSEN):
MARGARET (MAGGIE MORRISON): (CANCELLED)
Maggie Morrison of Lookbook, Digitata, & Gayngs. Her pitch-perfect, brazenly unaffected singing instrument is perhaps (Lookbook’s) most well-selected keepsake from the glory days of the discotheque. She now performs under the moniker, Margaret, and stays consistent with her repertoire, never slumps, never slides, never half-asses a single note. As chillingly immaculate as a sine wave, Margaret and her voice have an inhuman perfection to them.
