"There wasn't any real plan to make this record.  Six years ago, writing felt like a chore and I threw myself out of Nashville and landed in St. Paul.  I don't think it was the geography that did it, but this is where I remembered why I started playing music in the first place.

I began writing the kind of songs that I wanted to hear.  I played when I could and was meeting all sorts of people in town, including Nick who produced the record with me.  Soon, there was a pile of songs I liked and so did other people.  Recording them seemed like the next right thing to do.  I sat down with Nick to talk about possibilities and after a few hours, we had the framework for what would become Under the Lights."-- liner notes, Graham Bramblett 'Under the Lights', 2016
