Eustace the Dragon:

Eustace the Dragon are a half country / half city musical friend trio consisting of Jessica Smith, Danny Churchill, and Amanda Churchill. They make beautiful, low-fi folk melodies that are decidedly rich in anywhere from two to seven part harmonies. Their new dreamy folk record, Glad Friends, has been a long time coming - produced by the Homestead Records, mixed and mastered by Knol Tate, each of whom lovingly shared the Dragon's determination to let this record feel a little less like a studio, and a little more like a campfire hang.

Sister Species:

Guitarist Abby Kastrul and accordionist Emily Kastrul (Betazoid, Hazel Ra) transform two decades of sibling rivalry into raw, unapologetic, orchestral pop songs. With their first full-length album Closer Now, Sister Species showcases a sound matured as a 7-piece ensemble. Featuring Jake Baldwin (Har Mar Superstar, McNasty Brass Band), Ryan Hays (Matra), Lars Johnson (McNasty Brass Band), Sten Johnson (McNasty Brass Band, New Sound Underground), and Noah Ophoven-Baldwin (Percheron, Six Families, Drone Band),Closer Now’s intricate 3-part trumpet arrangements and driving beats lift the sisters' harmonies into refreshing new territory.

Sister Species is working on their second full-length album, due in 2018.

Humbird:

After traversing 5 continents and 20 countries with only a guitar and a backpack, Humbird returns home to sing songs from the edge of the world. Combining a wintry longing with the warmth of a familiar folktale, Humbird stretches traditional genres of folk and Americana to embrace the unexpected. This music invites a refreshing dissonance into the house, it leaves breadcrumbs along the path and reflects light back at the stars.

Creating music out of a mosaic of influences like Joni Mitchell, Bon Iver and Bill Frisell, Humbird weaves it all together with powerful lyrics and a stubborn pursuit of the sound of the North. The release of Humbird’s double EP “Elsewhere” and “Where Else” in Summer 2017 is just the beginning.
