Bloodline is a collective, contemporary musical trio based in the Twin Cities.  Founded by bassist/ composer Cody McKinney in 2015, Bloodline utilizes a number of unique and experimental musical techniques, both in composition and performance. Much of the music is based around a fixed time element, graphic notation and scores, text scores, and more recently, generative & animated scores.  Members of Bloodline have been commissioned by the Walker Art Center, the Guggenheim Foundation, and numerous other arts institutions across the US and Europe, to perform and collaborate, interdisciplinary. Bloodline's debut album, featuring compositions by all three members, is currently in post-production, with an anticipated release for early ’19.
