Dezaray E. Lane:

Dezaray E. Lane is a North Minneapolis native who began her professional music career at the age of 18. She has sang with the National recording, Grammy and Stellar award nominated Gospel artist, Darnell Davis and the Remnant for the last 10 years where she executes lead and background vocals.

While singing with this group she has been featured on The Bobby Jones Gospel show on the BET Network, and traveled the country and internationally to perform. She also sings with the local r&b/rock band Nick Chirch and the Dirty Thought. Other artists she has collaborated with include Tonia Hughes-Kendrick and Cameron Wright.

Tonia Hughes:

Tonia Hughes is a proud recipient of the 2017-2018 McKnight Fellowship for Musicians! She’s a contemporary gospel singer, songwriter, recording artist, and actress and often engages in
culturally diverse collaborations alongside some of Minnesota’s most accomplished musicians.

Tonia has performed with the Minnesota Orchestra at Orchestra Hall, at the acclaimed Lincoln Center in New York and throughout the Twin Cities at hundreds of culturally diverse churches, theaters, colleges and university events. Some of her theater credits include “Cinderella” with Ordway Center For Arts, “Caroline or Change” with Guthrie Theater, “Black Nativity‬” and “Mahalia” at Penumbra Theater.

Meet Shed G, as one of the hottest and blessed entertainers to hail from Denver Colorado,
Shedrick Garrett (Shed G) is a well renowned comedian, actor and radio personality known for his clean faith based comedy. Shed G brings a style of comedy that universally captivates
audiences of all ages and races.

In 2000, Shed G gained momentum by taking his talents to Atlanta where he earned his credits on the big screen. He worked alongside Tyler Perry in hit movies like Madea's Family Reunion, A Madea's Christmas ,Meet the Browns, & latest hit movie Madea's Halloween. Shortly thereafter he was featured on hit TV shows like House Of Payne, Meet The Browns and The Rickey Smiley TV Show.

Shed G has opened up stages for many music artists such as New Edition, Anthony David, S.O.S Band, Earth Wind and Fire, The Temptations, Brian McKnight, Marvin Sapp, and Lalah
Hathaway. He has also opened for fellow comedian’s Ricky Smiley, Dave Chapelle, Ron Tripoli, Dave Coulier and & Kevin Hart.

In 2012 Shed G moved to Minneapolis to pursue his dream of being a radio host/personality
where he joined the Morning Show on 89.9 KMOJ FM making it one of the top Morning Shows in the Twin Cities. He Is now with Twin Cities newest station 105 The Vibe.

When Shed G is not working on his shows or traveling the nation performing he loves being
apart of a mentor program at Blue Ribbon Award winning Friendship Academy where he
expose 9 young men on tools to help make them successful young men.

 

 

 

Courtland Pickens:

Courtland is a rising voice In the music scene in Minneapolis, MN he possesses an amazing gift: singing, but what sets him apart is that singing is not a hobby, it is his purpose. Courtland established his vocal status in 2005, after joining his church's Praise and Worship Team. Since that time, Courtland has written music for gospel recording artists and “How Sweet the Sound” contestant “Jamar Esaw & Triad For Christ”. Additionally, he was one of the lead vocalist of the Dove and Stellar Award Nominated Gospel Group, 'Darnell Davis & The Remnant';. While singing with this group Courtland has been featured on a National Television Show “Bobby Jones Gospel”, as well as traveling around the country sharing his gift with the nation.

Courtland has been featured with musicians across a variety of genres and has participated in events including singing at the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World National Convention (2010) and “The Sonshine Festival” (2010), these events drew crowds in the thousands.

As an artist, Courtland seeks to heal people through his music. He believes that music
transcends the exterior & reaches the hearts of people. Additionally, when he sings the
atmospheres changes, the mood is lifted & listeners are left inspired. Courtland is able to impact so many people due to his sultry and soulful vocal technique. His style isn't forced, but rather hypnotic & soothing.

 

 

Lyndora Turner:

Lyndora Turner is a Saint Paul native who began singing at the tender age of five. Lyndora
graduated from The St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Arts, where she performed and starred in multiple stage plays.  It is here where she began cultivating a reputation for mastery over her exquisite vocals, developed her dynamic energetic appeal, and became known for her unique interpretation of musical expression.

Lyndora can be heard on several national recordings to include Jovonta Patton and DFY, Maya Buckner’s 2016 Recording entitled “29” and her most recent endeavor as background vocalist for Nationally acclaimed “Mint Condition” artist, Stokely. Lyndora is currently working on her debut album that is set to release in 2018.

 

 

Roosevelt George:

Roosevelt George relocated from the birth place of jazz, the home of Creole cooking, and the center of southern hospitality.. to the land of ten thousand lakes where he is yet enjoying an extraordinary music career now, for about twenty-six years! With a strong dedication to his church, Gospel music, and to being a single parent to dozens of Foster children, George has been able to create great music that usually comes from his daily life experiences.
Shortly after arriving on the Minnesota music scene, Roosevelt was introduced to Gospel artist and Gary Indiana native James Grear, who had also recently re-located to Minneapolis! After auditioning, and becoming a member of the Gospel group James Grear & Company, Roosevelt began performing with Grear and his group where he sang both lead and background vocals. Together James and Roosevelt collaborated and exchanged music ideas along with giving life to new music written and arranged by Roosevelt George.

Within only a few months Mr. Roosevelt played a song he wrote entitled “Beautiful Black
People,” which immediately struck a chord with Grear! James Grear recorded and released the song to radio in 1998 where it spent more than a few weeks on Billboard and the Hot 100! The song and album was later nominated for a “Stella Award” and A “Soul Train Music Award!” This Blessing opened many other doors and songwriting opportunities for Mr. George. In 2002 Roosevelt performed with Grear as back-up to Mariah Carey on the Today Show and Sting on the soundtrack to Hercules. Roosevelt was fortunate to write the Grammy nominated hit single “I apologize” recorded by Ann Nesby, former lead singer of the Grammy Award winning “Sounds of Blackness!”

Roosevelt George has been signed to the Indie Label “Black Smoke Records” since to 2008 to the current day. Black Smoke Records is known for the number one chart-topping Gospel Mix Compilation CDs released each year by CEO and Record Label Mogul Kerry Douglas!
George has appeared on six of those Gospel Mix compilations which have also landed on the
Billboard Charts.. many of which became #1 for multiple weeks. Mr. Roosevelt continues to
write songs for various music artist in the Twin Cities and around the Globe, and continues to
sing and perform Gospel, Inspiration, and R&B music.
