ELGIN FOSTER:
Over the years, Elgin has performed in local coffee houses; restaurants; Mall of America, Minneapolis - Saint Paul Airport, wine tastings; Bed and Breakfasts; weddings; house concerts; church services and open-mic nights with the Minnesota Guitar Society. Elgin also was awarded a certificate of special congressional recognition from congressman John Kline for his service to the community through benefit concerts to help the homeless, cancer victims and programs for single moms. Elgin has shared the stage with some of the artists who continue to inspire him including: Dean Magraw, Dan Schwartz, Ben Woolman, Dylan Mckinstry, Dan Neale, Tim Sparks, Greg Herriges, Steve Lehto and John Wright.
Park Evans:
Originally from Ithaca, New York Park Evans grew up studying with classical guitarist Karl Wolff and British fingerstyle guitar master Martin Simpson. He moved to Minnesota to further his study of classical guitar and composition at Saint Olaf College. Upon discovering the rich music scene in the twin cities and studying with local jazz guitarists Dean Magraw and Kevin Daley he became a permanent resident. Evans performs in multiple groups including genre-bending jazz quartet Enormous, modern jazz trio Fire Bell, world music ensemble New Primitives, and indie rockers Corey Palmer and Love Trade.
He has worked extensively with jazz vocalists Sophia Shorai, and Katie Gearty as well as collaborating with cellists Michelle Kinney, and Jacquelline Ultan. He has played with drummer Elliot Humberto Kavee (Vijay Iyer), John Scofield, and Anthony Cox. He has released 4 recordings of his original music; 'Impossible Party' (2003), 'Surviving Desire' (2006), 'Satori for a Hungry Ghost' (2012), and ‘Impossible Vacation’ (2014). His work as a studio musician can be heard on numerous recordings including jazz, rock, alt-country, and folk albums. He has taught guitar lessons for the past 22 years privately and with tenures as a faculty member of the Music Connection, the Rymer-Hadley center for the arts, and the Rogers School of Music.
DAN SCHWARTZ:
Starting at the very beginning, his dad's interest in The Grand Ole Opry and his mom's fondness for American Bandstand immersed Dan Schwartz in a wide variety of great music. This influence resonates in the range of music he composes, records and performs today.
Dan is also passionate about teaching music to young children. He guides over 70 students per week through his teaching studios, St Stephen Young Musicians Program and Twin Cities Young Guitarist Program, which he founded in 2008.
As a co-leader and performer, his music also brings compelling energy to corporate training events with Uncommon Seminars, LLC.
