Shane Leonard:

Producer, all-purpose studio musician and songwriter Shane Leonard has packed a lot of music into his modest thirty three years.  Having grown up playing jazz with musicians generations older than him, dropped out of music school to become an English teacher, and left that to study fiddle and banjo with Appalachian elders, Shane's writing and playing comes from all kinds of angles. With a resume including acts such as Field Report, J.E. Sunde, Kalispell and many others, Shane is set to release his debut solo album early next year. Twelve electric guitar-driven songs comprise an album that chronicles the journey of his past few years: losing a father and becoming one.

Her Crooked Heart:

Her Crooked Heart, with Rachel Ries at the helm, are purveyors of sly, big-hearted balladry. HCH's debut album, To Love To Leave To Live, is due out in 2019 and features the sonic wizardry of Shane Leonard, Brian Joseph, Mike Lewis, Pat Keen and the string arrangements of Rob Moose. Rachel is the founder/director of Kith + Kin Chorus, a new uncommon choir that sings for good in the Twin Cities. Her previous work has been featured on NPR's Weekend Edition, lauded in Uncut and No Depression, and she is a 2018 Rauschenberg 3Arts Fellow.
