Her Crooked Heart:

HER CROOKED HEART is the new name; the new music of Rachel Ries – multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, sideman, singer. Her Crooked Heart’s debut EP, To Gentlemen, and forthcoming album, To Love To Leave To Live, feature some extraordinarily talented midwestern charmers: Shane Leonard, Mike Lewis, Pat Keen, Brian Joseph as well as string arrangements by the inimitable Rob Moose.

Names aside, one thing has remained true since RR’s first homespun release: her sly and compassionate voice, excavating the depths of an all-too-human heart, armed with levity, a pen and a classical brain. It’s the messy humanity that’s of interest here. The trying and failing; the loving and losing and loving again. The choosing to be brave even when you’re shaking in your tattered boots. So please, make welcome: Her Crooked Heart. She’s been here all along.

Kith & Kin Chorus:

Kith + Kin Chorus is an inclusive new community choir in the TC, open to singers of all skill levels. Led by Rachel Ries, K + K aims to nurture a welcoming, joyful environment where anyone longing to sing in a choir again (or for the first time!) can. The song material is a wide mix of classic & indie rock, pop, folk and whatever else inspires, arranged for a choir by Rachel. K + K Chorus is striving to give back to the Twin Cities community by holding bi-annual fundraising concerts with proceeds going to local organizations that strive to make our Cities better, safer, healthier places for all. Let's fill this hurting world with harmony.

CAPI USA:

The proceeds from this show will go to CAPI USA, an immigrant-led, nonprofit organization that is dedicated to helping Minnesota’s newest refugees and immigrants gain access to jobs, housing, food, health education, youth and senior social services in order to promote economic independence, self-determination and social equality. They do crucial work.
