Vocalist and songwriter Aby Wolf has attained broad recognition as the midwest region's premier vocal talent through stirring solo performances and collaborations too numerous to mention.  Multi-instrumentalist Eric Mayson’s wide-ranging style stretches from minimalist electro-pop to smooth R&B, progressive soul, and straight hip-hop, while visiting grinning pop, rock and roll, and operatic arrangements.  Together, they are kindred spirits sharing a visibly joyful musical conversation in a snow globe of endorphins.

Aby Wolf:

Vocalist and songwriter Aby Wolf has attained broad recognition as the midwest region's premier vocal talent through stirring solo performances and collaborations too numerous to mention.  She has recently returned home to Minneapolis after several tours abroad with Dessa of Doomtree, performing in theaters and art centers across Australia and New Zealand, as well as clubs and cafes throughout Europe and the UK.  Wolf continues to turn heads with her most recent solo album "Wolf Lords," created with Brooklyn-based producer Grant Cutler.

Eric Mayson:

Eric Mayson was born in Corpus Christie Texas to a musical father and mother who worked in museums.  He and his family moved around the US until finally putting down roots in Minneapolis when he was 16.  He starting playing piano when he was a toddler, eventually picking up the cello, guitar, and bass.  He has worked as an actor, a director, composed and music directed many musicals, and regularly makes music with several twin cities dance companies.  In 2009 his house in Mankato burned down, so he moved to Minneapolis and started working with Crunchy Kids where he found a love for producing and playing hip-hop.  Since then he has worked with Big Cats, Toki Wright, Doomtree, and Lizzo, among many others.  Also a member of Caroline Smiths band, Mayson has solidified his place as a valuable collaborator in the Twin Cities music scene.  In 2015, with the help of RiverRock Music Group, he releasedDetail, his first solo record, a 40-minute cassette tape spanning/inventing many genres with only one track break.

Stef Alexander

(aka P.O.S)

Doomtree co-founder, punk philosopher and lyrical bomb-thrower Stefon Alexander, aka P.O.S, makes tight, declamatory music that builds on the Minneapolis-bred rapper and producer’s penchant for grinding beats and radical lyrics. Known for welding hip-hop with guitar squalls, screamed vocals, and futuristic beats fit for a Berlin nightclub, P.O.S steps out with a unique beats set, for the finale of "Close Gates When Leaving".

DaNCEBUMS:

DaNCEBUMS is a group of five making dance collaboratively and non-hierarchically in Minneapolis. Dubbed “the best dance party in town”, their work straddles the arty and the party as they knowingly move between precise technique and casual pop sensibility. In a search for radical joy, they embrace the awkward, conjure nostalgia, and contemplate bright futures. Their crowd-pleasing performance is imbued with humor, groove, exertion, and extreme bliss.

Margaret Johnson, Kara Motta, Eben Kowler, Maggie Zepp, and Karen McMenamy met as students in the University of Minnesota’s dance department, and have collaborated in various configurations since 2011. Tightly bonded by friendship, they lived together at 601 Broadway St NE. During their two-year residency in this home, they produced a trio of original dance-rock-operas in their single-car garage. Since 2013, DaNCEBUMS has been performing thoughtful and provocative dance work in the Twin Cities. Their collaboration is based on mutual love and respect for each other, systems of support, and togetherness. They have presented work at the Walker Art Center (One-Move-Dance), Red Eye Theater (New Works 4 Weeks 2014, 2015), The Southern Theater, and the Bryant Lake Bowl (WOW, in collaboration with 6ix Families). Their webseries, moves4u2do, allows fans to take their choreography off the stage and into their lives with simple instructional videos.

Currently, DaNCEBUMS is realizing their dream of becoming a dance band - taking their work out of the theater and into bars, music venues, and parties. Joined by keyboardist/vocalist Eric Mayson, and percussionist Toby Ramaswamy, they have performed at 7th St Entry, ICEHOUSE, Kitty Cat Klub, Public Functionary,The Swedish Institute, and on live television as part of TPT’s Takeover Series.
