Join us for the season finale of #TheFeels presented by Visions Merging, Soul Tools Entertainment, and Jazz88. The Feels is anight of performance art dedicated to removing the stigma of mental health and healthy lifestyle choices. It's a night of live instrumentation featuring singers, poets, emcees, comedians and more. The Feels (formerly The Feel Good Revolution) provides a space for art, entertainment, and healing to become synonymous with monthly themes that inspire both the audience and the performers to be their best selves. This event is sponsored in part by the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Mental health resources will be provided free of charge for those who are interested by our partner Protect Your Crown: An Insight Into Mental Health.

Theme: Protect Your Crown. The Crown Chakra (otherwise known as Sahasrara) is the seventh Chakra located at the hop of your head. Known for giving us access to higher states of consciousness as we open to what is beyond our personal preoccupations and visions. The function of the Crown chakra is driven by consciousness and gets us in touch with the universal.
Toki Wright:

Raised in a Buddhist household, immersing himself in Black history, world culture, and community work, Toki Wright's awareness of the diverse world we live in is translated through his content driven music. He has taken paths that run the gamut from a non-profit youth organization in North Minneapolis to work with war-affected children in Northern Uganda. As an artist, Wright's travels have taken him throughout the United States and Canada as support and hypeman for Brother Ali. Other performance credits include Soundset, Coachella, CMJ, Bumbershoot , Paid Dues, Scribble Jam, and SXSW.
Being an active presence in the Twin Cities hip-hop scene, Wright has been featured on recordings by Atmosphere, P.O.S, and C-Rayz Walz, to name a few. With years of experience and numerous accolades (2007 Twin Cities Hip-Hop Awards "Best Knowledge Spitta" Winner, 2006 KMOJ Radio Artist of the Year, 2003 Star Tribune Artist of the Year - Honorable Mention, 2002 City Pages Hip-Hop Artists of the Year, 2002 Minnesota Music Award Nominee: Best Hip-Hop Artist, and more...), Toki Wright is ready to go to the next level with his debut solo, full-length release, A Different Mirror on Rhymesayers Entertainment June 9th, 2009.
As the first artist in the newly developed Rhymesayers Spotlight Series, aimed at bringing new emerging, independent artists to the masses. Toki Wright comes armed with skill and determination. His insightful lyrics are balanced by smooth, flowing beats by local stand out producers Benzilla and Medium Zach of Fam Feud, and Rhymesayers' own Brother Ali.
Toki recently wrote of the leaked track "State of Emergency": "Never before has this generation been at more of a critical point than now... the present day. War and Peace. Poverty and Gluttony. Enslavement and Freedom. Each measure of the spectrum entangled in the ultimate fight for power. Obtaining justice and equality are no easy tasks, our forefathers and mothers have proven this to be true. May this surge of energy be the catalyst for global understanding. In our struggle let us not forget the trials and tribulations of the great many who have walked along the hazardous path. Recognize history. Prepare yourself for the future. We are in a STATE OF EMERGENCY!?

Experimental R&B, Koimé explores nature. Forming in 2013, Quayla Bramble, a Caribbean soprano from Brooklyn, and Benjamin Hubbard, a Minnesotan 7-string nylon guitarist, honed their skills with Classical and Jazz music, then combined their eclectic influences with original songs that dance across sonic landscapes.
Koimé uses acoustic instruments for electronic looping and textural effects. Live performances include Neo- Soul, Rock, and Reggae covers, as well as songs from Minnie Riperton, Utada Hikaru, and Björk. By embracing the full spectrum of emotion, Koimé can address issues of environmentalism, and social activism. They leave you with heightened awareness, compassion, and a desire to improve your surroundings.

My comedy is based around my life experiences. Letting my audience know “You only face what other men have met”. I speak on experiences I’ve had as a child, things I’ve recently or am currently going through, as well as anticipated experiences that i might have or have to witness. Expect HIGH ENERGY, a lot of MOVEMENT, CHARACTERS and IMPERSONATIONS, and AUDIENCE INVOLVEMENT. An overall good time.
In these last few years, I’ve had the opportunity to share stages with Rick Gutierrez, Tony Woods, Nick Lewis (Rap City’s The Mayor), Cocoa Brown, Henry Welch, Jeremiah Williamson (JJ From the Sip), Steve Brown and Ronnie Jordan to name a few.

Brittany is affectionately known as DJ Miss Brit when she’s behind the 1s and 2s, and is the curator and DJ for the Icehouse residency called “The Feels.” She’s the official tour DJ for international hip-hop artist Toki Wright, and is one of the founding members of the MN Open Decks DJ Collective. DJ Miss Brit’s sound is as diverse and unique as her client list. With a sonic aesthetic rooted in eclectic soul and hip-hop she tells stories by weaving between the genre’s of funk, soul, r&b, trap, electronic, deep house, and more.
