Ashley Groves:
If there is a balance between intimate, moody indie and the groove energy of jazz and R&B, Ashley Groves is finding it.
A classically trained musician with an affinity for songs of love lost, Ashley’s vocal versatility makes her sound equally at home with the soul singers of R&B and the homegrown folk of Americana. Together with her band of jazz-educated players, she has been playing monthly shows in the Twin Cities area to build recognition and her fan base. She just released her debut album, Bad Idea, in January 2018. Bad Ideashowcases the best and worst parts of being in love, from the exciting first sparks of attraction to the despair of love unrequited.
Ashley has been making music since she was twelve years old, evolving from her early interests in early 2000s pop to acoustic folk, and finally to the neo-soul, R&B-esque sound of Bad Idea. As a writer, she wants to incite listeners to recall memories of pain, loss, hope, and the protection of denial.
26 Bats!:
26 BATS! is composed of the members of music collective, Kriyative Emblems of a Blue Soul Renaissance. With their multi-genre influences including hip hop, jazz, alternative rock, and soul, 26 BATS! creates music with no intention of boundaries of a genre. By sneaking mantras in their lyrics and using themes of overcoming hate, this twin cities based band has full intentions of empowering and healing through music.
HANNAH VON DER HOFF:
Minneapolis native Hannah von der Hoff puts on a dynamic show where soul blues roots and rock influences converge to provoke your gut.
Once a lead in the sweaty party band Sexcat, and a backup singer who toured with Caroline Smith, Hannah is now fully pursuing her songs that she's been incubating for years. She is in post-production stages of her debut. Support the record by clicking https://bit.ly/2GJwCeW for the GoFundMe campaign!
