Button Poetry:

Button Poetry is a Minneapolis-based company and independent publisher, and the world's largest distributor of spoken word and performance poetry media. Button runs a number of local poetry shows, including Button Poetry Live.

Rachel Wiley:

Rachel Wiley is a performer, poet, feminist, and fat positive activist from Columbus, Ohio. Rachel has represented Columbus at multiple National Poetry Slam Competitions and was a finalist twice in 2011. She has toured nationally performing at slam venues, colleges, and festivals. Her work has appeared on Upworthy, The Huffington Post, The Militant Baker, and Everyday Feminism. Her work simultaneously deconstructs the lies that we were taught about our bodies and our beings, and builds new ways of viewing ourselves. 

Michael Lee:

Michael Lee is a Norwegian American writer, youth worker and organizer. He has received grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board, the LOFT Literary Center, and the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council. Winner of the Scotti Merrill Award for poetry from the Key West Literary Seminar, his poetry has been published in Ninth Letter, Hayden's Ferry Review, Indiana Review, Phoebe, Copper Nickel, Poetry Northwest, and The Carolina Quarterly among other journals. Michael has worked as a dishwasher, a farm hand, a teaching artist, and a counselor and case manager for youth experiencing homelessness. He works and lives in North Minneapolis, spending his free time reading books and working in his garden.

Duncan Slagle:

Duncan Slagle is a queer poet and performer from Alaska & then Minnesota. He currently attends the University of Wisconsin–Madison on the First Wave scholarship. A twice-competing poet at both CUPSI and Brave New Voices, Duncan has performed at The Kennedy Center in DC, The Guthrie Theater, & The Walker Art Center. He is the 2018 Crab Creek Review Poetry Prize winner & a 2016 Young Arts Winner for Spoken Word. His poems appear in BOAAT Journal, Frontier Poetry, Tinderbox Poetry Journal, Up the Staircase Quarterly, & Drunk in a Midnight Choir, among others. He loves birds. 

Miss K:

Miss K is a full-time college student at Hamline University, where they study psychology and creative writing. Their focus is on writing works that protest oppression and encourage self adoration. Miss. K has been featured on Button Poetry. In June 2018, they traveled with the Twin Cities team to Detroit and competed at Rustbelt.

Renée Copeland:

Renée Copeland has performed with Ananya Dance Theatre since 2010. She is co-founder of the dance/performance-art duo Hiponymous, is a collaborator in the hip-hop-based dance collective BRKFST, and is a poet, musician, and singer-songwriter. She holds enduring gratitude for the Twin Cities’ immense community of artists, family and friends, who inspire so much of her work, connecting her to the world.
