The SPCO brings core chamber music repertoire to Icehouse’s modern industrial chic space, a Twin Cities musical hot spot that hosts a wide variety of music. Dvorak’s Bass Quintet (known as such because of the unusual addition of the double bass to the standard string quartet of two violins, viola and cello) was written in 1875 at a very productive and happy time for the young composer. It earned him top prize in the Prague based Artistic Circle Competition, and was inscribed with the motto, “For my nation.”

Ticket price includes a drink of choice (tap beer, house wine, rail drink, rocks cocktail or non-alcoholic house-made beverage). Icehouse's gourmet American cuisine (appetizers, dinner and desserts) will be available for purchase during the performance.
