The Detroit Roll:
The Detroit Roll was born on stage. The amps weren’t even cold. Their last project came crashing to a halt and they weren’t at the wheel. Eddie looked at Mike and said, “we need to start our own band”. Heavy power pop, garage rock, and alternative rock, call it what you like. The Detroit Roll is an American band formed in Minneapolis, MN by Mike Leiss and Eddie Lang. Their debut album The Detroit Roll (self titled) was released in January of 2019.
Since 2019, the band has consisted of Mike Leiss (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Eddie Lang (bass, backing vocals), Mike Langhoff of Collapsing Stars (drums), and Erich Krapf of SOAP (lead guitar).
