Maria and the Coins bio: Maria and the Coins bundle danceable, big-picture pop ambition into earnest, indie sensibility. The fivesome distinguished themselves in the Minneapolis alt-rock scene by fusing singer-songwriter driven pop hooks with the vulnerability and honesty of an indie band. Singer/Songwriter Maria Coyne brings her powerhouse vocals and dynamic presence to the stage for energy-filled, unapologetic performance.

Maria and the Coins released their debut EP Wide-Eyed and Restless in November 2016. The album couples fiery ambition with a songwriting instinct and attentiveness beyond their young years. Since then, the band recorded and released a five-part music video series, The Live Sessions, which was featured on The Current's Friday Five on MPR. Wide-Eyed and Restless and The Live Sessions are available everywhere for streaming and download.   

Maria and the Coins are currently working on their debut full-length album which was successfully funded through their own Kickstarter project. Their album is being recorded at Droptone Studio in Excelsior, MN with producer Stephen Helvig and is set to be released late 2019.
