WEAR YOUR MASKS!

We appreciate you purchasing a ticket and wanting to come and support live music. Moreover, we appreciate your patience as we navigate these weird times.

Due to the very limited capacity, we are suggesting a food and beverage minimum of (2) drinks or a plate of food purchased by each guest. This is not required; however, this what allows icehouse to stay afloat and continue to host shows.

While we appreciate the purchase of the base cover charge, that money simply covers the cost to put the show on and pay the artists. We still need to cover the cost of our great staff and keep our lights on. We hope the community will continue to value what Icehouse uniquely provides, and show us some love so we can make it to the other side of this together!c

Please click the link below to purchase your ticket and pre-purchase a food and beverage credit to be used the night of show and during any subsequent visit.

If you are not able to purchase this in advance, we still look forward to seeing you at the show and hope you consider this when attending show.

Thank you for your consideration.

portal iii: double vinyl limited edition release party

portal iii released a double vinyl this spring in the midst of the world ending. this will be their first show performing live together since February. celebrate their limited edition double vinyl album release in an intimate setting. no internet. real life. real time.

portal iii's self titled debut was recorded over two days at Real Phonic Studio with Erik Koskinen in Cleveland, MN. Having been recorded through hail and a tornado on the rolling prairie landscape seems hauntingly appropriate for their sonic template and connection to place.

Famed composer Pauline Oliveros, originator of the "deep listening" concept said "Listening is a lifetime of practice, listening can be focused on detail or open to the entire field of sound. Listening is a mysterious experience that is not the same for everyone." portal iii invites the lister to become immersed and transported to the edge of consciousness.

portal iii featuring a trio of veteran Minnesota musicians, introduces its debut release with a self-titled double LP of four deep listening instrumental pieces out on April 20th 2020 on Corrector Records. Bassist Liz Draper (who's played with everyone from the Grammy Award-winning Okee Dokee Brothers to the Balkan folk group Okester Bez Ime.) had been touring with folk traveler, songwriter and guitarist Charlie Parr of Duluth, MN. The two discovered a shared mutual interest in drone and ambient music. portal iii emerged as a trio when Draper recruited former bandmate Chris Gray from doom project Up the Mount Down the Mountain to join them on drums. With the three of them sharing a broad range of tastes and playing styles, anything was possible, but it was a need to seek out new sonic territory that led them to create portal iii.
