LUKE POLIPNICK is our Monday Night Jazz Resident and Guest Curator for the month of April!
Luke Polipnick is a Chicago-based guitarist/multi-instrumentalist and composer with deep ties to the Twin Cities creative music community. He is an active participant in the experimental/improvised music, jazz, pop, and extreme metal scenes in Chicago and beyond. His band Abhorrent Expanse (Tim Glenn, Erik Fratzke, Brian Courage) celebrates their debut album this month.
This Monday features two sets with:
Eric Fratzke’s band, Fake Accent, featuring Nathan Hanson (Clarinet, Saxophone), Cooper Doten (Bass) and Cory Healey (Drums), performs compositions inspired by divergent streams of 20th Century Music distilled into the language of small group jazz.
