Lamar is the latest project led by Minneapolis based singer, songwriter, saxophonist and composer Geoffrey Lamar Wilson. Former frontman of Brooklyn based Jus Post Bellum, and also known for his multilayered looped saxophone performances and catchy podcast ditties, this latest project blends his idiomatic inspirations bridging Folk, Soul, R&B and Country with a constant ear towards issues of racial and social justice, and the shared human experience.

Join Lamar at Icehouse for their debut trio performance ahead of their forthcoming fall EP release, featuring Megan Mahoney on bass and James Taylor on Drums.

‘Tender Ness’ is Minneapolis-based singer and artist Peter Witrak. Music journalist and DJ John Murph writes, “Tender Ness concocts a fizzy cocktail of confessional singer-songwriter pop, sensual lo-fi R&B, simmering modern jazz, and wry 21st century exotica.” His current album project “Homemaker” blends together warm electric keyboards, programmed percussion and soft crooning vocals, in a loving but critical take on Minnesota, queerness, home, and mothering.
