Ben Noble is a Minneapolis-based artist and producer. His serene, innocent melodies drift lithely along textures that range from sleepy-time folk to intrusive, experimental synth scapes. He released his debut album ‘Whisky Priest’ in the spring of 2017. Fully self-produced and recorded in a cabin, it is a journey of exacting introspection. A sea of guitars, strings, and ethereal falsetto voices detail Noble’s early days of fatherhood, wrestling with the good and bad in himself, trying to do right by his daughter. His sophomore effort,"Where The Light Comes In" was released in 2020. Noble's sophomore effort is a major expansion of the sonic palette, introducing drums, synths, electric guitars, and much more to Noble's signature ethereal vocal melodies and textures. It is as much an aural experiment as it is a heart-rending search for answers to questions of grief and the cyclical nature of trauma. Noble’s 3rd album, 'Bitter Work’ is a journey through the constructs of his religious roots and the ways that he has tried to learn outside the confines of dualism - right and wrong aren’t as certain as we are taught. It is both experimental and jarring, seeking to pair a dose of sonic discomfort with equally precarious truths.
