Americana / Folk musician Bob Frey hails from Cleveland, OH but is based in Minneapolis. Since 1993, Frey has shared his stories and songs with a loyal band of supporters at small clubs throughout the Twin Cities and beyond. Frey's beautifully melodic songs offer a rare and compelling lyrical depth and wit - think John Prine, Ian Noe, Joe Purdy- in a voice reminiscent of Cat Stevens / Ben Harper.
MaximumVolumeMusic.com, in giving Frey's 2022 Ghost album an 8.5/10, wrote that Frey "...has a what I'd call a "lived-in" voice that really draws you in"
Writing for Folking.com, Bill Golembeski states, "Midwest singer-songwriter Bob Frey’s new Ghost album is a sincerely whittled selection of whiskey-soaked and quite wonderful songs that bleed with Gothic folk campfire prayers."
Twangri-La.com, in reviewing his 2017 LongShot Deal release, described Frey's work as "insightful and intelligent songwriting... poems set to music."
More recently, AmericanaHighways.com wrote of Frey's 2022 release, Ghost- "It all sounds so timeless and even a little like Dylan."
Emmy Woods was born and raised on an old dirt road in small town North Dakota and currently resides in Saint Paul, Minnesota. With hints of country, folk, and blues, Emmy’s songs showcase both her knack for storytelling, her strengths in musical artistry, and her impressive vocal abilities cultivated by years of practice. Audiences enjoy a collection of tunes that are at once soft and strong, fragile and fierce. When asked to describe her music in three words, lover of music Kyle Smith said “Queer Farm Vibes.”
