If "The National” and “Big Thief” had a puppy, it would rightfully be named, Friend Dog.  Friend Dog was born in the rusted out cage of the rural midwest and is currently residing in Minneapolis, MN. This salt of the earth trio is comprised of lead singer and guitar player, Vincenzio Donatelle, on bass and harmonies, Lauren Anderson, and on drums, Nate LeBrun. Their unique Americana sound combines soulfully rugged vocals with a heavy-hitting rhythm section and incredibly vulnerable lyrics. All that paired with catchy melodies and an honest high-energy delivery will trick you into smiling and crying all at once.

Friend Dog is set to release their debut full-length record entitled “Before The End” on June 9th, 2023. Every song on the record highlights contemporary journeys and all the intense joys and challenges of fatherhood and being a husband in this day and age. These three seasoned pros have been cutting their teeth in other projects for years and are predicted to make some serious waves.

Named a top 100 SXSW Artist by NPR Music, Twin Cities based Collapsing Stars have been steadily making a name for themselves throughout the American west. Blending folk, blues and Americana sounds with beautifully interlaced cello and vocal harmonies, comparisons range from Iron & Wine and the Lumineers, to the Black Keys and Ben Harper. In the last few years they’ve earned producer credits on a record for Rhymesayers Entertainment, played a showcase at the renowned Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles and performed for over 120K people at Red Bull Crashed Ice. Their debut record titled ‘2012’ has received noteworthy accolades including praise from Dan Wilson, the Semisonic frontman who has co-written songs for the Dixie Chicks, John Legend, Weezer, and Adele’s 2011 hit Someone Like You. In 2018 they were named a top 100 SXSW artist by NPR Music out of 2000 showcasing acts. In response to pandemic related touring restrictions, venue closures and cancellations in 2020 and 2021, the group launched a new web series titled Forest Folk Sessions. Intimate acoustic performances in a breathtaking natural setting. They were an official SXSW artist in 2022 and their sophomore album titled “Chapter” featured on NPR All Songs Considered is out now!

The Spine Stealers are a two-gal duo, making spooky folk that is heavily influenced by the northwood pines, 24/7 truck stop diners, heartbreak and dark lakes. Music started by learning guitar together around bonfires in their shared hometown of Sun Prairie, WI during the height of the 2020 pandemic. Songwriting came out through the seasons; Wisconsin winter an especially enduring friend for their deep dive into telling stories of themselves and of the midwest. The Spine Stealers began religiously attending open mics in July of 2022 at Mickey's Tavern in Madison which soon led to their first show at The Bur Oak. Since then, they have played shows throughout Wisconsin most notably opening Wisconsin Folk Fest at the Majestic Theatre, and soon making their festival debut on the Backwoods Stage at Blue Ox Music Festival in June of 2023. The duo wants to write songs that crawl under your skin, to make you feel the winter that rusts your bones, the heartaches of nostalgia and broken ideas of love – to prove that we all may share a melancholy of sorts.
