The Symptones are a five-piece indie band from the Twin Cities playing an electric mix of rock, soul, punk, and folk-influenced music.
With an EP and LP under their belt, the Symptones have their eyes set on the future with a brand-new full-length album coming out later this summer featuring their most daring and fully realized work to date.
The lineup of Taylor Tuomie (vocals/guitar), Andrew Polski (guitar), Steven George (drums), Jeremy Gullikson (bass), and Jake Nemec (trumpet/keys) has never sounded better or had better haircuts. Album two reflects this to a T with songs echoing the hot nights of summer, where all you need is a guitar, a switchblade, and a dream.
Oftener is an indie rock outfit with shoegaze-y sensibilities, pairing introspective lyrics with bursts of sonic energy, or quiet, soft soundscapes.
Hyooman sprouted from the bedroom of songwriter Leng Moua, fueled by his desire to reconnect with his inner fan and love for music. Soon the band was formed, joined by Elise Bremer (keys and vocals), McCoy Seitz (drums and vocals), Dillon Marchus (bass), and Victor Pokorny (guitar and vocals). Hyooman traverses the terrain between the lo-fi bedroom pop of Alex G and the alternative bands of the 90s/early 2000s – while they lyrically explore the themes of introspection, social media, and existential dread. In May 2021 the band released their first single, “Half Brain,” and followed up with the release of their debut album Pilot in June 2022.
