Kyle 'Highstylekyle' Borchert has been a fixture on the twin cities music scene for 2 decades. A multi instrumentalist and producer, best known for his award winning dancehall and reggaeton production album series 'Lightning and Thunder', Kyle has been a member of a series of notable local hip hop, island, and funk groups including; Shangoya, Leroy Smokes, Maria Isa, Culture Cry Wolf, Ashley Gold, and Mayda, most recently with being the trumpeter for 'City Pages picked to click 2019' artist Nur-d's live band. Kyle released his last album Lightning and Thunder Vol 3 in 2021, completing the trilogy started in 2008, with Vol One being a Star Tribune Variety cover story, and the City Pages naming it one of the top 5 local albums of that year. 

Kyle will be releasing the first of his hip hop and r & b production series of albums "Time and Space Vol 1' Oct 21st 2023. The new series will feature vocals by Nur-d, Alex Steele, Ashley Gold, T La Shawn, Alex Rossi, OSP, and a host of other twin cities hip luminaries.
