Our final GR guest of our inaugural season is Thad Levine, Senior VP and General Manager of the MN Twins. While we'd love to talk baseball for an hour, we're eager to hear Thad's reflections on questions like these:
- How do you respect the history of an organization while also wanting to change it?
- How do you recognize talent and capacity within an organization and then modify it to fit your vision?
- How did you know you were ready for a job this big?
Each of our first three Goat Rodeos had an emergent theme. Omar (Surly Brewing) spoke about having the humility to ask for help. Pahoua (Citzens League) shared stories about being strong enough to admit doubt. Maureen (Super Bowl Committee) illustrated the need to take risks and knowing when to make a change. In other words, each guest shared stories that all of us can relate to. That is at the heart of this series: drawing out stories that all of us can find a kernel of truth in for our own work and life.
This will be our last GR until season two starts next fall. If you've been to one or two, please come on back. If you haven't been yet, giddy up! Invite your friends and their friends and come out to help wrap up Season 1!
