KAOZ:

Kevin Lanier Moore aka Kaoz is a native Clevelander and an award winning writer, actor, spoken word artist and educator. He began his artistic career appearing in countless plays, community theater projects, independent films and writing competitions.   As grand poetry slam champion of his city, Kaoz represented Cleveland at the National Slam competitions two years in a row.

Kaoz has shared stages with major record label acts such as hip hop duo Dead Prez, MIMS, Layzie Bone, Syleena Johnson (TVOne’s R&B Divas) and Brandy and has ripped mics throughout the U.S. and Canada.   The Tyler Durden EP (Experience) & The Tyler Durden Mixtape (2010) marked his return to Hip hop music. Kaoz also executive produced and co-wrote a full length compilation entitled Kaoz Presents: Real Talk MPLS

Kaoz has also been recognized for his activism and work in GLBT communities of color.  He received the Harold PhilPot Youth Leadership Award from National AIDS Education & Services for Minorities for his groundbreaking work with Young Men who have sex with men of color.  Recently, Kaoz completed a West Coast tour “BlackEsque: Queerotica Tour” in June 2015, and also released the critically acclaimed project “The End Is Beginning”. Available on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify and all digital outlets.  Summer of 2017 he will be featured in the hip hopera entitled Mother King written by composer and musician Dameun Strange.

 

 

Seaberg:

Taylor Seaberg is a Black, queer, multi-instrumentalist and loop artist with a passion for the experimental. They front the genre fluid band, Seaberg. Often soulful and punk driven, the group carries a vibrant energy that led to their features in City Pages' Local Frames and the Local Current blog's Friday Five music video roundups. Seaberg has also performed at an MPR sponsored album release show for Chastity Brown's "Silhouette of Sirens" at The Fitzgerald Theater.

 

 

Marcel Michelle Mobama:

Marcel Michelle Mobama is a Minneapolis based performance artist working with subversion, stereotype, exorcism, connection, and eroticism. She is a full time producer, performer, director, choreographer, curator, and all around nasty lady. Marcel combines her experience as a black/latinx/queer/trans womxn with a passionate study of movement, theatre, burlesque, and improv to provide a unique, vulnerable, and varied experience. Her work has appeared in Queertopia, The Minneapolis Burlesque Festival, Red Eye’s New Work Series, Patrick’s Cabaret, Soul Friday, The Pink and White Ball, at First Avenue, The Cowles Center, and a few other places. She was a founding member of Carnivale Revolver and Visions of Sugarplums: The Burlesque Nutcracker, and works regularly with Hot Dish Cabaret, Black Hearts Burlesque, and 20% Theatre Company, where she also serves as a board member. Marcel is the resident FemCee of Daddy each month at Icehouse in Minneapolis. Upcoming works include: Lightning Rod (Patrick’s Cabaret), Soft Boundaries (Bleak Roses), and Demons In America (QStage, 20%).

 

 

Junauda Alma:

Junauda Petrus is a creative activist, writer, playwright, screenwriter and multi-dimensional performance artist who is Minneapolis-born, West-Indian descended, and African-sourced. She is the co-founder with Erin Sharkey of Free Black Dirt, an experimental arts production company.  She is currently writing and directing, "Sweetness of Wild" a web series themed around Blackness, queerness, biking, resistance, love and coming of age in Minneapolis. Her work centers around wildness, Afro-futurism, ancestral healing, sweetness, spectacle and shimmer. Her first YA novel, Mable & Audre’s Journey Through Black Universe debuts in 2019 on Dutton Children’s.

 

 

DJ Cabezona:

DJ Cabezona is a xicana femme DJ, illustrator and bassist from KC/MO. Their music and dance inspirations are: CHICHA!, cumbia, and borderland diaspora roots. “Entre el sol y la pobreza, nos quedamos por un tiempo.” Collective bruja healing. BI/POC only tracks.
