Buddhist Priest is a zen collective of three heavy-hitting Minneapolis jazz musicians who have an affinity for meditation, improvisation, and experimentation. The group plays in a variety of styles, including blues, country, and psychedelic cowboy jazz, and is fronted by Dean Granros on guitar.
Dean Granros performs solo acoustic and electric guitar music inspired by numerous music traditions. With an early solo career dating back to the late 1960s he has shared the stage in a solo capacity with the likes of Leo Kottke, the Birds, Willie Dixon, Don Ellis, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Dave Ray and Tim Sparks. Always adventurous, Dean Granros' solo gigs offer a personal interpretation of jazz standards, blues, original compositions, folk and world music.
Featuring: DEAN GRANROS (guitar) // CODY MCKINNEY (bass) // DAVE POWER (drums)
