PaviElle is an Emmy Award winning (2015), interdisciplinary artist, hailing from Rondo - a historically Black neighborhood in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is a Jerome Hill Artist Fellow (21-22), as well as a McKnight Artist Fellow (20-21), and has received a Sage (Cowles) Award for Dance and Choreography. She is a Global Artists Initiative - Artist In Residence at MacPhail Center For The Arts. And, an American Composers Forum Grant recipient for her classical composition, A Requiem for Zula (ARFZ), (2018) written in celebration of her Mother's life. ARFZ was just featured at the New World Symphony in April 2021, under the direction of Conductor, Edwin Outwater, and Artistic Director, Michael Tilson Thomas.

PaviElle, is known for her powerhouse vocals and performing with an equally powerful 6-piece band featuring such talented artists/musicians: Ahanti Young, Ted Godbout, Tiyo Siyolo, James Towns, Nick Dodd, and Charlie Bruber. She has been seen performing locally and nationally, and has graced such stages as First Ave, Ordway Center, and The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (2020), to name a few. PaviElle was a background singer for the legendary vocalist, Sonny Knight; was a featured artist in The Billy Holloman Revue, alongside Johnny Hodges, Asha Baker, and Big John Dickerson (2002), and has been featured in, The Secret Stash Soul Revue alongside legends, Willie Walker, and Wanda Davis, in (2017/18). She was voted as Minneapolis City Pages "Best R&B Vocalist of 2015", her band was named one of First Avenue's Best New Bands of (2015) and was a featured artist on TPT's "Lowertown Line'', (2015), and MN Original (2018). PaviElle is also an Arts Educator, who creates artistic collaborations through residency, and has taught at such arts organizations as, SPCPA (2014-15), and MacPhail Center (2018-). Growing up in a family steeped in music, she says that she wants to make music that honors and represents the Black Arts aesthetic. PaviElle honed her craft as a youth at: Penumbra Theatre, SteppingStone Theatre and with the collective, EduPoetic Enterbrainment.

Most recently, she has launched a multi-partner Residency through the American Composers Forum, funded by the NEA (2022-23). She also released a documentary this summer at Parkway Theater, entitled: I Am SOVEREIGN, filmed by Peter Myers, in 2022, documenting the process for her newest album release, SOVEREIGN (2021). She was commissioned by Minnesota Orchestra, as a Composer, Actor, and Writer, in Joyful Echoes (2021), a collaboration with renowned storyteller, and actor, Kevin Kling. Also in 2021, The Schubert Club commissioned PaviElle to write The SOVEREIGN Suite (performed at Fitzgerald Theatre, in May of 2022, with a collective of Artists of the Twin Cities). And she was also recently commissioned by the Sands Family, and The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, to create a symphony in honor of their 50th Anniversary. Sands Of Time, which was debuted by The SPCO, at Ordway Centre for the Performing Arts, June 2022. Also, beginning in January 2023, PaviElle can be heard every Friday from 9pm-11pm night on her radio show, Luca's Juke Joint, on Jazz88 KBEM, spinning The Blues, as DJ Lady Luca.
